| August 3, 2006 BusterAlert.org was introduced at Moose-a-Mania, an ASCA conformation dog show and CPE agility trial in Skowhegan, Maine during the weekend of July 28, 29, and 30. Brochures were handed out from the Mini Aussie Rescue & Support booth to Aussie and Mini Aussie owners, as well as other breeds on the list of dogs known to be affected by the mdr1 mutant gene. August 5-6, 2006 BusterAlert information was handed out at Topsfield, Massachusetts in association with the American Rare Breeds Association conformation dog show. MARS volunteers explained the danger of using certain common medications on dogs carrying the mutant gene to many Mini Aussie owners at the show and to visitors owning other breeds affected by the mutant gene who stopped at the MARS booth. |
