MARS Dog Days Raffle
Please read the MARS Dog Days Raffle Official Rules and Disclaimer printed below before purchasing your tickets. Tickets may be purchased using a credit card, some debit cards, eChecks, or a PayPal account.

Official Rules and Disclosures
1. You must be 18 years or older to purchase a MARS Dog Days ticket. Only one (1) individual may be identified as the purchaser of the MARS Dog Days ticket. All federal, state and local laws and regulations apply.
2. Each ticket will cost $10. There is no limit on the number of tickets that any particular individual or entity may purchase. Individuals may win more than one (1) prize if more than one (1) ticket they purchased is drawn.
3. This is an electronic raffle only and tickets may only be purchased via the website at www.miniaussierescue.org. Each purchased ticket will be assigned a unique date (a month and day of the year) which will represent their raffle ticket number. This number will be used in the drawing. Purchasers may request specific dates, which will be assigned as their ticket numbers if those dates are available. If requested dates are already assigned to other purchasers, other available dates will assigned for that purchase. In all questions of ticket number assignation, MARS' decision shall be final. Ticket number(s) and purchase confirmation will be emailed to the purchaser upon completion of the purchase.
4. All email communications will be sent to the email address supplied during the purchase. It is the purchaser's responsibility to provide a valid, deliverable mailing address and email address to Mini Aussie Rescue & Support, Inc. ("MARS"). MARS is not responsible if the purchaser's ISP or computer blocks or otherwise restricts the confirmation email from being delivered (i.e., spam filters, etc.). All email regarding the MARS Dog Days charity raffle will be sent from the email address dogdays@miniaussierescue.org.
5. By entering the raffle, the ticket purchaser acknowledges that he or she is aware of and agrees with the raffle's official rules.
6. A maximum of 365 tickets will be sold for the "MARS Dog Days 2007 Raffle." Key eligibility dates and prize drawing dates are as follows: Ticket sales will begin on Wednesday, August 15 at 8:00p.m. (EST). All entries must be received by 11:59 p.m. (EST) on March 1, 2008 ("Entry Deadline") to be eligible for the drawing. The drawing for the twelve (12) prizes will occur when all three hundred sixty-five (365) tickets have been sold. MARS will announce the drawing date within five (5) business days after the last raffle ticket has been sold. All ticket purchasers will be notified by email with the drawing date, time and location; additionally, this information will be available on the MARS website at www.miniaussierescue.org.
7. All winners will be notified by email, to the email address email address supplied during the purchase, of the prize won and any requisite procedure to claim the prize. The winner will have fifteen (15) days from the notification of winning, to confirm their home address and their acceptance of the prize won. If a selected winner is unable to be contacted or located after a period of ninety (90) days from the drawing date of any raffle, or if a selected winner declines acceptance of the prize, the prize or its cash equivalent will be deemed to have been donated to MARS to be used to support MARS' non-profit mission.
8. Winners' names and locations by city or town, and state, may be mailed to all entrants and may also be posted on the MARS website at www.miniaussierescue.org. Entrants, by purchasing ticket(s), consent to use by MARS of their name and location by city or town, and state on the website and in other promotional materials.
9. MARS will be responsible for all shipping costs for all prizes shipped within the continental United States of America. Prizewinners living outside of the continental United States of America must pay all shipping costs in order to claim their prizes.
10. MARS and its officers, employees, agents, Board, and vendors assume no liability for late, misdirected, incomplete, undelivered entries or entries without proper payment received, which entries shall be deemed invalid and shall be immediately disqualified. MARS Board members are not eligible to participate in this raffle.
11. All purchases of raffle tickets are final and non-refundable.
12. Prizes: Twelve (12) prizes will be awarded, providing all raffle tickets are sold before the raffle deadline. Prizes may not be exactly as shown, are based on manufacturer availability, and may be substituted with a prize of similar value or with the cash equivalent by MARS. The approximate retail value of all combined prizes is $700. The actual retail value of the prizes will vary depending upon item awarded and the winner's tax liability. The odds of winning a prize are dependent upon the number of valid entries received, but shall be approximately 12-in-365, provided all tickets are sold. In the event a winning entry has more than one name, MARS will award the prize to the first name listed on the entry. MARS shall be deemed correct; if there is any discrepancy, MARS is not responsible for resolving any disputes that may arise from different individuals listed on a raffle ticket. Each prize winner is solely responsible for paying all applicable federal, state and local taxes associated with their respective prize.
13. The following is how the prizes will be allocated: If 365 tickets are sold the prizes will be: one (1) Tapestry Throw Blanket; one (1) Weathervane: one (1) Limited Edition Lithograph; one (1) Musical Jewelry Box; one (1)Welcome Sign; ono (1) Umbrella; one (1) Ribbon Collar and Leash Set; one (1) Silver Silhouette Necklace; one (1) Needlepoint Pillow; one (1) Danish Blue Plate; one (1) Necktie and Tie/Lapel Pin Set; and one (1) Tablerunner/Wallhanging. If less than 300 tickets are sold, one prize will be awarded for each thirty (30) tickets sold.
14. The IRS has taken the position that amounts paid for chances to participate in raffles, lotteries or similar programs are not gifts and, therefore, the price of a MARS Dog Days ticket purchase does not qualify as a deductible charitable cntribution.
15. All monetary figures described in these rules and regulations are listed in United States Dollars (USD). All purchasers, by participating (and winners, by accepting a prize) release Mini Aussie Rescue & Support, Inc. and its respective Board, officers, committee members, employees, volunteers, partners, vendors, agents, representatives, sponsors, service agencies and independent contractors, and each of their respective directors, officers, partners, employees and agents, including advertising, public relations, direct marketing and promotion agencies, from any and all liability with respect to participation in the raffle and possession or use of the prize(s) awarded and also acknowledge that they did not receive any representations, warranty or guarantee, express or implied, in fact or in law, relative to any prize, including but not limited to its quality, mechanical condition or fitness for a particular purpose. Any liability of MARS shall be limited to the ticket price paid and in the case of any dispute, MARS' decision shall be final. MARS reserves the right to modify or amend these Rules without notice at any time, so please read this page regularly to ensure you are updated as to any changes.
