The Cost of Rescuing a Dog
Rescuing a dog runs between $200 and $600. Many of the dogs that we get into MARS have never been to a vet. They need to be spayed or neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. Often they require dental procedures. Occasionally, we get in one that needs major surgery. Our adoption fees do not cover the cost of food and vet care. We rely on the generosity of our friends and supporters to help provide the quality of care that our foster dogs deserve.
